Alan G. Hartman, D.M.L., M.A., is a dedicated scholar with a deep passion for modern languages, literature, and cultural exchange. Dr. Hartman is actively involved in promoting education and community engagement through his roles as Vice President of Italian Charities of America, Board Director for the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (New York Metropolitan Chapter), and Board Trustee for the White Plains Historical Society.
He frequently presents at conferences and publishes on Hispanic, Italian, Italian American, and Mediterranean Studies.
His passion for languages, literature, travel, and student success has taken him to various parts of the world. A Long Island native, Dr. Hartman has lived in Italy, New York City, and Boston. His academic endeavors led him to Bolivia and Spain, and his work has taken him to Honduras and Colombia.
