At 91Å®Éñ's Department of Counseling, we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of candidates and faculty. Our purpose is to empower each individual to thrive in diverse settings through a comprehensive education that emphasizes ethical practices, skillful counseling, and a commitment to equality, fairness, and diversity. We prioritize evidence-based practices in our curriculum, ensuring our graduates are prepared to meet the needs of a wide range of clients effectively. Our program is designed to cultivate master’s level counselors who are not only proficient in their craft but also champions of inclusivity and advocates for the well-being of all individuals in their professional endeavors.

Overview

Serving the greater good. 91Å®Éñ offers degrees leading to service-oriented positions including those in counseling. Counselors are a vital resource for student and families, and help communities thrive.  

The master’s in school counseling prepares students to become certified counselors in public or private school settings in New York State.  

The master’s program in mental health counseling prepares students to begin working in a clinical setting, including: family services, outpatient center, hospitals, government and private practice.

CASAC 350 Hour Certificate

An alcohol and substance abuse certification can both help your career and help your patients in need of this special service. 91Å®Éñ can help you get that certification.
